Persian is the English name for the Farsi language and it is the official language of Iran. Persian is a member of the Iranian branch of Indo-European languages spoken by about 130 million people, mainly in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. There are also significant numbers of speakers in many other countries, including Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Turkey, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Oman, Yemen, the UAE and the USA. In the 1960s most people who arrived in the UK were students from secondary school to university.
After Revelation in 1977 and also the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq war in 1980, most people who arrived in the UK were middle class professionals.Farsi is a written language as well as a spoken one and it is very old language.
